Working from Rennes, in Brittany, Berdah came to tattooing from architecture — a vocabulary built around the Flower of Life, ornamental dotwork, and compositions found freehand on the body.
For our debut issue, he opened his archive — flow and morphology first, pattern second, every structure laid down freehand before the needle starts.
Every artist here was chosen for one reason: the work holds up under close looking.
We spend more time per submission than most magazines do per issue. We open the gallery, look at twenty pieces, look at the lines under magnification, and only then add a name. There is no fee, no exchange, no algorithm. If a name is here, we stand behind it.
